Questions. Questions. Questions.
Our clients are always full of questions and we sense you're visiting our site today in search of some answers. Now nothing is quite as good as an in-home consultation, but this section may serve to help you gain some knowledge before we talk.
You may want to check out the FYI page for additional information.

We get asked question on virtually every consultation. That's easy. It's only worth what someone is willing to pay. Condition is one of the most important factors, that and how rare is the item, when was it made, by whom, and whether there are a lot of them in the market already. Saleability is also effected by what else is happening in the market, i.e. financial crisis, depression, recession, etc.
It's all relative. How big is the home? How much clutter is there? Will anyone from the family be helping with the process? What are your goals and objectives? What is your situtation? Is someone relocating to another community? Has someone passed away and the home needs to be cleared out? Can someone benefit from donation receipts and proceeds derived from the sale of unwanted goods?
You get the idea. There are many variables to be taken in to consideration. It's always best to start as soon as possible with a personal consultation.

First and foremost, we are accountable for everything we remove from your home. You're assigned a client number and a consigner number if anything is being taken to auction. Each item for auction has a sticker with the number that coincides with the client. We make a written inventory that is submitted when we deliver the items to auction.
Donated items are also inventoried and delivered to a variety of charities and other organizations in the community. You will receive the original inventory along with donation receipts for your taxes.
If you have been advised to consider selling some property privately, that too will be discussed and the proceeds can either be given to you or you may elect to have the amount credited to your invoice.
Depending upon the time of year, we're normally booked 2-6 weeks in advance. Our schedule is somewhat flexible and we might be able to work you in sooner if necessary. It's best to call for a consultation to obtain a sense of time needed to complete the project and availability.
Normally we try to keep our work-week to Monday through Friday, however in some cases Saturday may be your only available time so we'll try to accomodate your request. When possible - we'll make it happen!
ONE CALL DOES IT ALL - Our services have been carefully designed to meet our clients needs by placing one call to take care of every facet of the project. Over a number of years we have built solid working relationships with myriad auction houses, charities, churches, resale shops, private collectors, service providers and other important resources.
Prior to starting the company, owner, Sheree Richnow worked in Assisted Living for a year-and-a-half to obtain more knowledge and understanding of our key clientele.
Team Leaders and crew are trained specifically for their positions and bring their own unique strengths to the company.
Sheree's first project was for her own father who at the time lived in Texas. She and her family put to work all of the strategies she'd developed and was able to prepare and sell his home then relocate him to Pennsylvania - all in just 10 days!
Our offices and warehouse are strategically positioned at the nucleus of our community, thereby enabling us to reduce the amount of time needed to distribute goods efficiently and save our clients money.
Besides, we're fast, efficient, friendly and considerate.
If you're in crisis mode and you need to be seen asap - we'll find the time, an evening or Saturday appointment may be necessary. Call us anytime from 8am to 8pm at 610.558.1250.
When I was completing my degree in 2005 I learned that the State of Pennsylvania was the largest importer of "other people's trash" in the country! I was appalled. It was then that my commitment to forming an ecologically correct company was cemented. We continue to look for intelligent ways to re-direct anything that is potentially recyclable.
I'd like to say "everything" is recycled, but it's simply not yet possible. Most regular trash is taken to the dump, however metals are separated and recycled. Any shredded and white paper trash, glass and plastics can be directed for recycling as well.
It depends upon which auction house is used, but most will send a check for the proceeds minus their commissions within twenty (20) business days from the date of sale.
Before an auction house can send you a check they have to be sure the buyer's check or credit card clears and they have successfully taken delivery of the item.
Not necessarily. We charge by the hour, by the person and for the use of our box truck - much the same as an auction house. You have to have someone who knows what they're doing and whether or not the goods are appropriate for auction. This process can be time consuming, but is also a great way to recover some benefit from any property that is deemed saleable.
When we're processing an entire home it doesn't really make sense to fragment the job by calling an auction house. We know what is appropriate for auction and where the best places are in your community. You may lose consistency and efficiency and it will take additional time to orient an outside party to the client's overall strategy and goals.
When we strategize a project we look to see which team members are likely to be available for the duration of a job. Our clients get to know the crew and appreciate the consistency we provide. It's nice to see the same people throughout the course of the job.
In order to better accomodate some of our client's needs we offer ebay sales through a strategic partner. For those items where a reserve or minimum is desired this is a great alternative. The other great benefit is that it usually doesn't take as long to get paid for items sold through our store.
